What are some relatively recent historic events in which media (journalism, photography, video) played a part?

I prefer events that are relatively recent, like in the last 50 years (i.e. Chernobyl incident, Munich massacre), where media either played a role, or influenced its reception/how people looked at the event. Specific events appreciated… Thanks. I’m all out of ideas here.
