Time Life Books Photography

Which is better for choosing a career?
well, my dream is to travel all over the world. Im in the process of choosing what i want to do for the rest of my life. My question is: which is better..
Having a job you hate but having a big pay day
or
Having a job you love but not paying good
My big intrests are writing books, photography, and fashion.
I really want to be a fashion designer, and i mean, big name designers get paid big time. So, what do you think? Any comments.
for me HANDS DOWN EVERY TIME i’d choose the job i loved. Who cares if you’re struggling a little bit if you’re totally happy. that’s just me anyway, but maybe it’s because i want to be a screenwriter and i’m not expecting a jumbo paycheck. haha.
you like travel and writing? maybe you could be a travel writer for a magazine! or do reviews of fashion for a magazine? Or you could try blogging, because if you get good enough/popular enough blogging you can earn a lot of money. (…or so i hear…)
good luck!

Though the collaboration is about babies–the liner notes to this CD provide a sneak peek at Geddes’ visual wizardry available in both the exp… |

My Life in Books (Hardcover) $30.75 Bestselling author Pat Conroy acknowledges the books that have shaped him and celebrates the profound effect reading has had on his life. Pat Conroy, the beloved American storyteller, is also a voracious reader. He has for years kept a notebook in which he notes words or phrases, just from a love of language. But reading for him is not simply a pleasure to be enjoyed in off-hours or a source of inspiration for his own writing. It would hardly be an exaggeration to claim that reading has saved his life, and if not his life then surely his sanity. In My Life in Books, Conroy revisits a life of passionate reading. He includes wonderful anecdotes from his school days, moving accounts of how reading pulled him through dark times, and even lists of books that particularly influenced him at various stages of his life, including grammar school, high school, and college. Readers will be enchanted with his ruminations on reading and books, and want to own and share this perfect gift book for the holidays. And, come graduation time, My Life in Books will establish itself as a perennial favorite, as did Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go! |

Photography Unplugged (Hardcover) $33.3 Harald Mante is regarded as one of the outstanding contemporary photographers in Germany. He started out as a travel photographer whose work was published in numerous magazines and books and later taught photography in the tradition of the Bauhaus school of design, applying image and color composition concepts to photography. This book is meant to present the wealth of Mante`s photographic work and at the same time to advocate a pure, straight approach to photography, untouched by digital image editing tools — uncropped and unmodified captures of scenes as seen through the viewfinder. Photography Unplugged is meant to sound a voice which is singing to a slightly different tune than the digital photography choir. Harald Mante`s photographs, all captured on Kodachrome`s legendary slide films, will inspire beginners and expert photographers alike, and will reveal the beauty and magic of masterfully composed photography. |
