What is the difference between these professional digital cameras?
Canon Rebel XTi Nikon D50 Nikon D40x Nikon D70 I am thinking of buying one of them on eBay, and I would like some advice as they may be almost the same price. I'll take a digital photography class next semester of college, and I am a beginner to professional digital cameras. I like to learn more about cameras in the future, so I'm thinking of getting one that I can use for long time. Are there any suggestions?? Thanks.
Well, the rebel and D40x both have 10.1 (ISH) megapixels for one thing, almost double the other two at 6 and 5 (ISH). And both are new models of the D50 and D70. The D70 has a very high flash sync speed up to 1/1250th of a second. So if you are going to shoot an external flash shoe on or off would be the best of 4 for that. The D40x does not have an internal autofocus drive non AF-S and AI-S targets, ie if you buy an old AF or AI lens will have to focus manually, all other features are supported including AI'ed lenses very old. And both the rebels and D40x is larger preview LCD screens. I would say those are the major differences. I have a D80, and that would be my choice again, if I had to do more.
