Software driver for Canon Digital Rebel XT?
I recently moved house and brought me my Rebel XT. I am using a laptop Dell Studio Windows Vista 64 bits. This team does not have a floppy drive. Because of the missing disk drive, I can not install the driver software that came with my camera, and I can not download the version of Canon provided on the website because it is not compatible with Vista 64 bits. Is there any way to download a version of software Driver compatible with my OS and my camera? Or do I have to buy a card reader and / or a portable hard drive? I can not find anything on the web. Thanks!
Try connecting the camera to the laptop through the USB cable. Must be detected by Windows Explorer (My Coomputer) automatically as a device Removable Storage (or something with the music of that). From there, you can copy, delete or move files to and from your camera. If you want to modify, your favorite graphics program like Photoshop, Corel or brush. Irfanview is a free, downloadable graphics easy to use. If the camera is not detected by Windows, buy a cheap card reader, insert memory card from the camera and then connects to the laptop. Again, must be detected by Windows automatically.
