Any tips on how to make my photos look more… “Professional”?
I’ve always loved photography but I’ve just recently been getting really into it. I’m thinking of getting a Nikon D40 for Christmas, but it’s kinda expensive…

Spend some time learning correct techniques for composition and metering.
If you haven’t a clue what I’m talking about, try reading some books on basic photography, join a photography club or get some photography tuition by attending one of the many courses. There also many magazines that provide sound, well thought out tutorials on how to improve your photography.
Buying a DSLR will give you the tool to create good images, it’s then down to you to learn how to take good images with it.
