Sony Cybershot Troubleshooting please?!?

I have a Sony Cybershot digital camera, and when I run it does not work correctly, a message says: "Access, please turn off the switch and again" … but when I do this same thing happens. Is it knackered or can anyone suggest a way to fix it! It is beyond the warranty so that you can not take it to the store, but a friend told me this is a common problem with Sony products for outputting and buy new?!

First try new batteries. My guess is that the goal is not to extend properly (a problem with Sony), which is sometimes caused by batteries. If that does not, try pulling gently on the lens while turning out food. Once out, wipe with a micro-fiber (or free from scratches) fabric
