I'm looking for a new digital camera.?

I just moved abroad and am looking for a new camera … One that you can update w / different lenses … etc. I have a great Sony (mini) digital camera, but I'm looking for something that will help me get better shots at sporting events and, above all night. I want more to my hobby and my new images for print use englarge and frame .. etc I am looking to buy in the next month or so, and in line more likely to post here or in a local electronics store here …. All suggestions appreciated.
