A website where you can upload a story or a theme told by photos only and accomponied by a song.?
What do you think of a website where you could upload a song and a list of photos that either tells some type of story or centered around a theme.
I took photography classes in college, and it was the final assignment to choose a theme or a story, take pictures and then show them in class with a song of your choice.
I really liked everybody’s project and I was wondering if you think it could work on a webite and if people would be interested in this?

Photography and Ireland (Paperback)

Photography and Ireland (Paperback)

$57.56

Outside of Ireland, ideas of Irish photography center around picturesque tourist views of the emerald green of the Irish landscape and photojournalistic representations of The Troubles. Justin Carville sets out in Photography and Ireland to change this perception, to give attention instead to depictions of its social transformations, political upheavals, and geographical reimaginings as a colony, nation, province, and sovereign state. As Carville demonstrates, photography not only has documented these transformations but has also helped shape how Ireland is viewed, both by itself and the rest of the world. Photography and Ireland explores the role of the photographic image in the colonial and postcolonial visual cultures of Ireland from the nineteenth century to the present day, and it emphasizes the transnational dimension of photography in Ireland, including foreign photographers who have contributed their images to the cultural imagination. Accessibly written and accompanied by a wealth of images, including commercial portraits and landscapes, ethnographic photography, photojournalism, and documentary works, Photography and Ireland explores the formation of an indigenous photographic culture in Ireland through a number of interrelated themes.

 How to Read Chinese Paintings

How to Read Chinese Paintings

$15.43

The Chinese often use the expression “du hua,” “to read a painting,” in connection with their study and appreciation of such works. This volume closely “reads” thirty-six masterpieces of Chinese painting from the encyclopedic collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in order to reveal the major characteristics and themes of this rich pictorial tradition. The book examines multiple layers of meaning–style, technique, symbolism, past traditions, and the artist’s personal circumstances–through accessible texts and numerous large color details. A dynastic chronology, map, and list of further readings supplement the text. Spanning a thousand years of Chinese art, these landscapes, flowers, birds, figures, religious subjects, and calligraphies illuminate the main goal of every Chinese artist: to capture not only the outer appearance of a subject but also its inner essence.
