Photography Schools In Texas

Chances of getting into a good college?
I did so bad on my SAT, I’m afraid that I won’t be able to get into a good college.
I’m looking into going to Rice or Austin college (in Texas), although other colleges would work too (if I have enough money/scholarships to go there).
I’m a junior
GPA: 3.7+ (I think thats weighted, I’m not sure)
SAT: 540 CR, 620 M, 540 W= 1700 Culm. <-bad score
Classes: 3 Honors, 3 AP, One regular (Orch).
Extracurricular: Key, NHS, Spanish, L.A.S.E.R (Science), Spelling Bee Team, Photography. I did Crimestoppers and Pops Orch in 9th grade.
Officer: Co-Sec of Photo, Photographer for Span., Class Reporter for Orch.
Volunteering: Special Needs, Teen Court attorney. I have done tutoring and office-aid in 10th grade.
Awards/Honors: Violin, Photography, Volunteering, Sci Fair.
Hobbies: Tennis, working out, did track in middle school, photography, violin, reading, writing, volunteering.
I want to major in International Business/ International-related
Do I have a chance?
I have no idea why, but I got an 840 on my SATs when it was out of 1600. And although I didn’t get into a few state universities, I was accepted into several other competitive private universities. And it was likely because I was strong in other areas. I had a good GPA, I took several advanced/AP courses, and I was involved in extracurricular activities – basically like you. Do not get discouraged. Apply to at least six colleges and you’ll be accepted to at least one.
What you should really be worried about is how to pay for college. Applying for loans is getting more and more difficult. I hope you will concentrate on getting a few scholarships or that your grants will cover a lot.
Good luck!

A Descriptive Analysis of Alternative Schools in Texas. $115.71 The study investigated how alternative schools differ in the state of Texas. The objective of this descriptive research study was to describe the characteristics of alternative schools in Texas. This descriptive study sought to describe the current characteristics of alternative schools in Texas through answering the following four research questions. What type of alternative school design is most commonly practiced in Texas? How are students referred to the alternative school and transferred back to the mainstream campus? How is the state curriculum being taught in alternative schools in Texas? What social skills programs are being used to increase student selfdiscipline? The data was collected by a 40item survey from nine administrations of alternative schools in Texas. The responses were categorized to calculate the mean, percentages, and frequencies of responses of administrators. The data indicated that the primary type of alternative school in Texas is a last chance type school serving mostly habitually disruptive students. The data also showed that most students are referred to alternative schools by the mainstream campus administrator for a minimum of 2035 days. The data also showed that there is little consistency in how students transition back to the mainstream campus. The instructional method most often used is a traditional methodology with computeraided instruction being used effectively on most campuses as an instructional support. Finally, the data shared that many different social skill programs were used in alternative schools with a positive effect. However, no two alternative schools used the same social skills program.
