Photography Seminars/Workshops?

I was wondering if anyone knew where and when any photography seminars or workshops would be held in the Georgia-Alabama-Florida area. I am very interested in Photography and have recently decided to go to school for it and see where it leads me career-wise. I wanted to see if I could attend some workshops or seminars to better my knowledge, but I don’t know where to look! Thank you!!

Nikon School puts on a good day class which should get you going (you don’t have to own a Nikon to attend; most of the information works on any camera). There is one for those just getting into photography and want to learn the basics of composition, exposure and some of the finer points of using your camera to its full advantage. The other one is for those who produce images and need to speed up their work-flow (one hour shooting sometimes means four hours on the computer afterward).

In addition contact and then attend a local ASMP meeting in your area. ASMP is an organization made up of editorial, sports, advertising and newspaper photographer. They will be a great resource for your quest.
