Photography Projects For High School Students
Photography Ideas??

I’m a senior in high school and I am taking Adv. Photography. I’m very excited but the teacher has no lesson plan for my me and my friend. She will be teaching the beginner students. She told us we are pretty much on our own. We must decide what our projects will be and tell her beforehand. Yet, I have never taken photography with her (I took it with another teacher).

Since I don’t know what she wants, I guess I need a list of ideas and themes and projects…anything that we could do, two people by themselves. Interesting things to shoot that will take time and effort. We both have Canon digital cameras that we own personally and the use of a darkroom. But we will use the digital cameras mostly….

All ideas are appreciated, but the best of course will be rewarded!!!

Thanks much!

Landscape shots are always nice; you could try to take pictures of the same shot at different times of day or over the course of a few weeks to show seasonal changes.

You could also try candid shots of people doing random activities; I’ve always loved shots like this in black and white. Animal life is difficult, but attainable.

Another cool thing I’ve always liked — if you live in or near a city with tall buildings, try standing on the street and taking shots upwards, as though you were tilting your head way back to look at the tops of the skyscrapers. Or take some pictures near a highway at night, without a motion-fix on, so that the headlights blur together.

Play around with lights and colors too, once you’ve taken your shots and are editing them. You never know what kind of cool things you’ll end up with.

In addition, this study looked at Communication Apprehension differences in various communication settings of groups based on socioeconomic status, gender, ethnic groups, student participation in communication classes, and a students primary language. To do this, the study used the Personal Report of Communication Apprehension24 (PRCA24) and a researcher generated survey of demographic information and online Communication Apprehension questions. Challenges of Educating CLD High School Students

Challenges of Educating CLD High School Students

$154.53

Every year 1.2 million students fail to graduate from high school equivalent to a drop out rate of over 7 thousand students per school day. A more detailed investigation of that number reveals that Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) students are significantly overrepresented in that group. Yet, high school CLD students have received little attention from educational researchers over the past decades. This is even more alarming since all recent demographic studies point to an increase of the CLD population in the years to come. This book, therefore, starts to shed some light on this topic by: (i) compiling and integrating all the relevant existing literature on second language acquisition; (ii) discussing the challenges faced by high school CLD students and explaining why current instructional practices are not meeting their needs; and (iii) pointing to an alternative approach that better addresses high school CLD students needs. This book should become a much needed reference for both teachers and administrators, providing invaluable insights that should ultimately help improve the education offered to high school CLD students. Author: Garjaka, Karla Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 256 Publication Date: 2010/06/27 Language: English Dimensions: 5.98 x 9.01 x 0.57 inches
