Photography Of People Dancing
Stop action photography help!?

I am shooting with a Nikon D60 and I am want to try shooting pictures of people dancing on a stage. I try boosting my ISO up to HI1 (i think thats the name) so i can have faster shutters but all i get are alot of blurs and soemtimes out of focus pictures (most of the time) i am shooting with a Telephoto (55mm- 200mm) and zooming all the way to try to get my subjects. I also open my apature up to about 5.6 to get some faster shutters but they still coem out blurry… any ideas what i could do to stop this or make it better?
on some pictures i was spot metering….

You are using a telephoto zoom lens. They tend to be quite “slow”.

Get a good prime and keep your shutter speeds up.

Sharing Identities: Celebrating Dance in Malaysia

Sharing Identities: Celebrating Dance in Malaysia

$95

This anthology celebrates dancing diversities in Malaysia, a multicultural nation with old and not-so-old dance traditions in a synchronicity of history, creativity, inventions and representation of its people, culture and traditions. These articles and interviews document the legacy of dances from the Malay Sultanates to a contemporary remix of old and new dances aspired by a m lange of influences from the old world of India, China, European and indigenous dance traditions. This gives forth dance cultures that vibrate with multicultural dance experiences. Narratives of eclecticism, syncretic and innovative dance forms and styles reflect the processes of inventing and sharing of dance identities from the era of the colonial Malay states to post-independence Malaysia.

The Celtic Fake Book: C Edition

The Celtic Fake Book: C Edition

$15.01

According to a recent survey, one out of every four Americans — approximately 57 million people — plays a musical instrument. And of those 57 million musicians, the most popular instruments are the piano, the organ, the portable keyboard, and the guitar. Hal Leonard Fake Books are designed specifically to be the most valuable and economical collection of music for these instruments; we have the most comprehensive and best-selling line of fake books available anywhere! We’re positive that they will be successful in your bookstore. What is a Fake Book? When musicians are asked to play a song they’ve never played before, they “fake” it. One of the most valuable possessions any professional, amateur or hobbyist musician can have is a fake book that contains the melody line, lyrics and chords for hundreds and hundreds of songs. With access to the melody, lyrics and chords of a song, musicians can improvise their own arrangements. The popularity of Celtic music has soared over the last decade due to the resurgence of folk instruments, Celtic dancing, and Irish culture overall. This amazing collection assembles more than 400 songs from Ireland, Scotland and Wales — complete with Gaelic or Welsh lyrics where applicable — and a pronunciation guide. There is also the bonus of many Irish popular songs. Titles include: Across the Western Ocean — Along with My Love I’ll Go — Altar Isle O’ the Sea — Auld Lang Syne — Avondale — The Band Played On — Barbara Allen — Blessing of the Road — The Blue Bells of Scotland — The Bonniest Lass — A Bunch of Thyme — The Chanty That Beguiled the Witch — Columbus Was an Irishman — Danny Boy — Duffy’sBlunders — Erin!
