I need help finding a hobby? Please help!!!?

Okay so I’ve never persued a hobby before. The only hobby I’ve ever had was photography, which is with a digital camera I have. Anyway I’m looking for a new hobby and realized just how much I have a strong passion for wanting to build stuff. I want to build an actual model castle, or house or building or whatever that has dimensions. Since I would be a beginner I want to build a huge model castle that at least has instructions and then pursue my own designs later. The problem is I don’t know where to start. How do I find specialty stores or better yet get model castles so I can glue together and paint(Which I love to do…paint)? So please help me. How do I go about doing this? I live in NYC is this helps. Also if you can direct me to some websites that sell model castles I can build on my own would be GREAT!
