If I have a photograph with a child in frame with their back towards me, do I need a model release?

Other than her hair color, there’s no way you can see her face, or any distinguishing feature so would I still have to have a model release, especially when trying to use it in stock photography submitting

When in doubt, get the Model Release. Better safe than in litigation.
