Photography How Much To Charge
How much should I charge for wedding photography?
I know wedding photographers charge by the event/day, and not by the hour, but how much should I ask/charge for a wedding?
Now, keep in mind, I’ve got experience in some portraiture, but mainly landscape and nature. I shoot film, but do have a Pentax K200D DSLR, just incase they would prefer quantity to quality.
I’ve got four years of photography under my belt, know all the technicalities, and have some formal training, with an 80 photo portfolio prepared for university.

Wedding photography rates all depend on the context of the wedding. If you can hook up with the right wedding planner, someone who builds and manages 30-50,00k weddings, then you can get away with charging $$, like 5-8,000k for photography.
Weddings come in all shapes and sizes – people have $2,000 weddings, people have $50,000 weddings. And, put simply enough, you can’t charge $5,000 for a wedding whose entire budget is $2,000….
