What should I do? Please read!!?
My dad suggested photography as a hobby, to be honest it sounds like a great idea; I mean my dad went to school to study photography and started his own business along time ago and I have always wanted to learn. But the problem is I’m almost 50% color blind I can see my basic primary colors and a few different shades of each but that’s about it everything else is white and black. So is there any way around it, besides the obvious

Actually there is a big market for B&W right now, and since you don’t have to tell a camera what color to capture you don’t really need to know what color’s you’re seeing. And, if you use a good lab, they will do the color balance editing for you – which removes pretty much the only thing you’d need to know the colors for yourself.
Otherwise, edit them as YOU see the colors. That could be your special niche since your images would have a look that probably nobody else, at least near you, has. “Professional” photographers are a dime a dozen in the digital age, so anything that makes you stand out could be a good thing.
