Photography Flash
Why is flash photography not allowed in theme parks?
There are certain rides at theme parks (or sometimes entire parks) that do not let you use flash photography. Is there a technical explanation for this or is it just a way to stop people from annoying the park’s guests?
My reasonings:
Some rides have sensors that can be thrown off by bright flashes, which will ruin the experience.
Constant flashing is really annoying to other riders.
It easy to lose a camera on a lot of rides and the park doesn’t want to have to go find it for you.
If you’re taking pictures you’re not really enjoying the ride.
It ruins the surprises they put in the rides to have pictures of them everywhere.
