Planning a Wedding in Windy Chicago Can Be a Breeze

Living in city as large as Chicago, wedding planning is not only a task of selecting vendors but also filtering which one is right for you.  There are so many venders to choose from finding the one that is right for you can be difficult.  Planning for a wedding can be one of the most difficult tasks of your life but there are a few tips that can help. Knowing these key points can make the difference of night and day at your wedding.

Setting a theme will definitely add class and give your Chicago wedding a great sense of direction. After you set the theme here are some of the things that you need to consider:

  • Invitation Cards

The invitation card is the first impression of any wedding. The artwork detail, the paper texture, color schemes and typography set the tone for the special day.

  • Décor

Trying to think of décor that will stand out is always a challenge, but by engaging a new concept such as feathers, you not only create a look that is uniquely your own but also one that can be forever beautiful.

  • Linens

Linens are yummy, and the guest cannot wait to see what all you have come up with, for most of them-it is a once in a life time moment, add the GLITZ!

  • Culinary

Tying in the food with the theme is not easy. Thus, you should find a unique caterer that has a talent for combining the culinary treats with the overall design of your wedding.

  • Entertainment

Entertainment is the absolute key to an unforgettable reception. The musician sets the tone and with proper planning will make the night unforgettable and exciting.

  • Flowers

The perfect color, smell, and look will need to be in alignment with your theme. The flowers you choose should match your color scheme in order have perfect pictures.

  • Photography

Only you can decide which style of photography is right for your wedding.  Many different artists add a personal touch that which will elevate your photos to the next level.

  • Planning Guide

Use a planning guide. Planners have their head in the game day and day out. They have seen it all, thus utilize their expertise if you’re just too overwhelmed with your wedding planning in the Windy City.

These major factors will play the most important role in your wedding.  If you cover these crucial bridal needs others should fall smoothly into place.  The internet is the best tool brides have to make their planning easy.

Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Other Plays: Picasso at the Lapin Agile, the Zig-Zag Woman, Patter for a Floating Lady, Wasp

Steve Martin is one of America’s treasured comedic actors, having appeared in some of the most popular movies of our time. He is also an accomplished screenwriter who has for the past few years turned his attention to writing plays. The results, collected here, demonstrate new facets of the range and talent he possesses on screen. His plays hilariously explore very serious questions about love and happiness and the meaning of life; they are rich with equal parts pain and slapstick humor, torment and wit. Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Steve Martin’s first full-length play, opened at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater before moving on to Los Angeles (where it was the longest-running show in the history of the Westwood Playhouse) and, finally, to New York. An imagined meeting of Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein in 1904 – when both men were in their twenties – it is a compelling examination of science and art and their impact on a rapidly changing society. As the two men engage in a battle of ideas about probability, lust, artistic integrity, and the future, the play moves with ease between the breezy and the profound. Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Other Plays contains three one-acts, first presented together at the Joseph Papp Public Theater in New York. WASP depicts an archetypal middle-class white Anglo-Saxon Protestant family trying to live up to the routine of an idealized fifties suburbia. It is a dark and surreal comedy – a broad satire punctuated with insightful and poetic moments of irony. A meditation on the nature of love and loneliness, The Zig-Zag Woman concerns a woman so desperate to find affection that, with the help of a magic trick, she appears to divide her body into threeparts. In the final play, Patter for the Floating Lady, a magician plans to levitate his assistant in order to give her what he could not give her when they were together: freedom.
