I need a 35mm slr for photography (a level), Which cameras do you think are good for a beginner but also ones that I can use as I progress

I’m going to go out on a limb today and suggest one specific camera…
The Minolta Dynax 7.
Probably the best 35mm SLR money could buy (20 years ago).
Obviously it has full manual control but:
Wireless flash – the best implementation of its class,
Advanced film transport for mid-roll changes, unlimited multiple exposures (you can even rewind to specific frame numbers),
Depth of Field preview AND DoF scale read-out that detects your lens/aperture and tells you what the DoF extends to and from,
High Speed Flash for syncing at stupid shutter speeds,
accepts Sony lenses as well as A mount Minolta,
unbeatable ergonomics – one button/one function mindset of the designers,
automatically records the last 7 rolls of film – shutter speed, aperture etc so you can refer back to photos confident of the settings used to get the shot…
Oh, and Bulb exposures are programmable.

This camera can grow with you.
