Photography Aperture Shutter Speed Iso
what are these photography terms?

ISO?
Aperture?
shutter speed?
what are benefits of having a slower/faster shutter speed?
whats the”F” for (like F8.0- F3.4)

“ISO” stands for “International Organization for Standardization”

The aperture are the fins inside the lens that open and close when you take a picture. The more open the Aperture is the more light will get into the shutter, the smaller the aperture the less light will get into the shutter.

Shutter speed is how long (or short) the mirror in the camera is flipped up, the advantages of a fast shutter speed is to get a clear picture if there is movement going on, a disadvantage is that if the f stop isn’t set correctly the quality won’t be that great.

The “F” in “F8.0- F3.4″ stands for “Focal” these numbers are the focal ratios, these ratios determine how big, (or small) the aperture will be.
