Movie Set Photography

I have a great idea for a business!!!?
Everyone knows that most photography studios are overpriced. How about a chain of discount photography studios that feature popular entertainment themes. With numerous props in each studio, a customer could get professional photos taken of themselves and family or friends on a faux “movie” set.
this kind of thing already exists to an extent.

Apocalypse on the Set: Nine Disastrous Film Productions $23.76 “Welcome to My Nightmare” explores the unbelievable true stories behind eight films, both American and foreign, little-known and iconic– “Pulgasari, The Abyss, Apocalypse Now, HeavenAs Gate, The Crow, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Fitzcarraldo,” and “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.” The book opens with an examination of “Pulgasari,” a North Korean film similar to Godzilla which was dreamed up by Kim Jong-Il and created by a Japanese director the dictator kidnapped and forced to live on grass, salt and rice for four years before lavishing him with a budget of millions and a staff of seven hundred fed on truckloads of pheasants, wild geese, and deer. Astoundingly, the story behind each of the other seven films is just as grippingathis is a book film fans will devour. These cinematic endeavors confirm that truth is stranger than fiction, that reality is more volatile than narratives, and fate more improbable than plots. |

Bombay Talkie (1970) $2 Starring Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal, BOMBAY TALKIE is Merchant Ivory’s affectionate, bemused view of Bollywood-India’s huge dream factory. The film is like a brightly colored, sumptuous Indian sweet covered in gold foil, and cameraman Subrata Mitra’s ravishing photography has never been surpassed in any other of James Ivory’s films. The story, set off by elaborate studio numbers, is a melodrama echoing those of Bombay’s mass audience movies and the sexy best sellers of the film’s heroine, American authoress Lucia Lane (Jennifer Kendal). Visiting India in search of “new material,” she becomes romantically involved with handsome movie star Vikram (Shashi Kapoor). When that doesn’t work out, she flees to an ashram to take up the spiritual life. That also, hilariously, doesn’t work out, and the ill-fated couple get together again with explosive results. |
