How to Make the Best Use of Your Photography Studio Brochures

Photography is a highly competitive field; stand out from your niche with brochures that make a selling difference! That selling difference involves more than your skill in photography; it involves thinking in your customer’s shoes in the most creative way. Here’s how you do it:

Best Tips for Promoting Your Studio with Photographer Brochures

  • List all your services, and include some samples. You may or may not include detailed descriptions of your services, but make sure you have samples of your work throughout your brochure design, with appropriate captions. If there are some services that need explaining, then make space to do so. Do your best to fully inform your reader.
  • Attract with your brochure, sell with your website or in person. Focus more on attracting your reader to your services than convincing them to schedule an appointment with you. Granted, you can accomplish both in your custom brochure printing. But if you have to make a choice, then create a winning selling pitch first before overloading your reader with information she’s not ready to handle yet.
  • Include your photo in your studio’s history or description. Be confident! Give your readers a face they can identify with the business so they can relate with your work on a more personal level. Taking a picture of yourself in your own studio is a definite plus, since you’re also vouching for your own services this way.
  • Catch your reader’s attention with stories. Talk about how your studio started, or mention some genuine, interesting client stories. Show how your studio is more than a place where people can have their photos taken. Present and organize your studio as a comfortable place – and your staff as friendly and helpful!
  • Use the best brochure printing to set off your photos right! You don’t have to tire yourself out looking for the right printing company. Look up Los Angeles printing if you’re in that area, and make the best informed decisions from the choices that come up. Your brochures can create new clients or drive them away, so make sure you choose your printer wisely!

Studio portrait photography, unlike natural light or environmental portrait photography, offers photographers unparalleled opportunities to reflect the character and individuality of their subjects. This book shows how black-and-white studio photography emphasizes this ability by removing the distractions of color. Every step is explained, showing how to create sensual beauty images, cutting-edge fashion shots, powerful images of athletes, romantic wedding portraits, sweet images of children, and emotional images of couples. Discussions on proper equipment, lighting, and development procedures make it easy for photographers to replicate or adapt the ideas in their studio.

Marketing Fine Art Photography (Paperback)

Marketing Fine Art Photography (Paperback)

$49.44

In recent years as the field of photography has exploded, many photographers consider selling their work to make a profit and to help defray the high costs of equipment. But, many photographers don`t have the business and marketing knowledge required to successfully sell fine art photographs; and many of those who have tried have been met with disappointment. Until now, little information of value has been available. In Marketing Fine Art Photography, Alain Briot offers practical, up-to-date and field-tested marketing techniques from the viewpoint of a fine art landscape photographer who earns a living from the sale of his fine art prints. Briot teaches that by taking control of the selling process, you can increase your profits and, ultimately, direct your own destiny. Briot`s approach is based on offering quality not quantity; and offering something unique, rather than something that is mass-produced. Though directed toward selling fine art, this method can be applied to other products. After a series of trials and errors, Briot devised a marketing system that allowed him to get out of debt, pay for a state-of-the-art studio, and purchase his first home, all from the sale of his photography. Briot has taught fine art photography marketing to numerous students in seminars, through one-on-one consulting, and through his Marketing Mastery tutorial DVD. Topics include: Defining fine art photography Wholesale, retail, and consignment Knowing your customer Where to sell and how to price fine art Fundamentals of marketing and salesmanship Profitability and honesty in business Packing and shipping fine art Common marketing mistakes The unique selling proposition (USP)

Actor's Alchemy: Finding the Gold in the Script

Actor’s Alchemy: Finding the Gold in the Script

$14.44

An actor’s script is both a gold mine, and the map to discovering it: if properly read, a script will reveal its riches to you. Unfortunately, most actors never learn to efficiently read the map, or master how to convert what they find in a script into playable gold. Why? Because this aspect of the acting process is seldom taught in a simple and tangible way in the classroom or studio. Acting can – and should – be more than guesswork and instinct. Actor’s Alchemy: Finding the Gold in Your Script examines the relationship between the script and what an actor ultimately does on the stage or on screen. Here is a straightforward guide filled with useful information to help actors learn to use their scripts in a specific and analytical way to solve the problems of the scene and bring their elusive characters to life. In learning how to decipher the script, actors will be equipped to make the choices that lead to delivering a gold performance.
