photography tips? how to create a eclipse effect?

how do you create the effect similar to the lunar eclipse?
i don’t want to take a picture of the moon, but i want the whole figure to be dark and have a light outline of the figure.

Lighting placed directly behind the subject, pointing toward the subject (the subject is between the light source and the camera). It would also probably be best if that light source behind the subject was the only light source in the room. Make sure the light source is close enough to the subject so that light doesn’t sort of leak out around the subject, creating a regular silhouette… like, you know how the beam of light from a flashlight gets wider the further away from the flashlight it is? You want the subject to basically stop the light from getting further away from the source – stop it from widening too much.
