Iso Explained Photography
How do I set the exposure for my Sony cyber shot to 2 minutes or more?

I am wanting to take some night shots without flash and can’t make heads or tails of the owners manuel. I love Sony products but they are not very user friendly. For the most part, I have been using the automatic ISO for low light situations, but I want to shoot outside at night without flash. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I must note that I am new to photography so please keep answers very simple. Pretend you are explaining this to a 10 year old. Thank you very much.

I have looked at just about every cyber shot specifications page on the web and can find no cyber shot model that has a shutter speed longer than 1 second max and that is in program mode. So, maybe a higher ISO setting at one second on a tripod using the timer may give you the results you are looking for. Good luck and just experiment with different settings.
