Kerala- A Fascinating Wildlife Book

Eravikulam National Park
It is the natural home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr where they are preserved. It shelters the largest known population of Nilgiri Tahr in the world. Its natural beauty also deserves mention. Many wildlife species are found here. The other striking feature of the Park is that it also houses the Atlas Moths, which are said to be the largest moths in the world. You can also enjoy trekking here. The chirping of the fascinating birds is a common sound here. The most promising time to visit the Park is from September to February.

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

The chirping birds, the colorful birds, the inspiring birds, it is really difficult to describe the beauty of these wonderful creatures of nature. Periyar Tiger Reserve
Periyar Tiger Reserve, the land of the mysteries of the big cats(tigers) is famous for its tigers, panthers, elephants, Lion Tailed Macaque and much more. The Tiger Reserve is located ideally on the Cardamom Hills in the Western Ghats of Kerala. Best time to visit-September to March.

Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary
Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary can be aptly called the ‘domain of elephants’. It is famous for its elephant population. A wide variety of other wildlife species are also found in the Sanctuary including some poisonous and non poisonous snakes. The best time to visit the Sanctuary is from December to April.
