I am in the process of opening an at-home photography studio. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to start building my clientel?? How do I get my name out there?? Any ideas would be helpful, I really want this to be my carrer and dont want to fail right off the bat.

first, build up your portfolio by shooting people for free. Network with other photographers and ask for tips from them. Focus on one style first. Until you get that down, then dabble with others. You want to have a solid look to attract potential clients.
