Building a Website Huh?…

Like many, I’m sure you’ve thought of building a website…

The Internet has become the best platform for anyone with an opinion or an interest to be able to share that with the rest of the world. It is highly likely that you are reading this because you were surfing the net

It is far easier to get a website up and running than it was only a couple of years ago. Now you can do it with the click of a few buttons and a simple drag and drop interface,

You no longer need to be able to write html or any of that other complicated stuff. You can just use templates to build your site. You simply drag and drop the designs and features you want and then type in the information that will be on your site. Weebly is great for this.

There are many companies now in fact that allow you to host your website on there servers for free. To do this you usually need to allow them to put an ad on the website. Or your domain name must include their company name in it. For example www.yourdomain.weebly.com

Think of things you know hat you would like to share with the rest of the world.

Do you have any hobbies you’re passionate about, or interests you’d love to let others know about? Are you a poker player who can share strategies about the game? Do you have an opinion or an insight about happenings in the world that others should know about? Are you into model building, sculpting, photography, health care, fitness, fashion, social politics or any number of different areas of interest. Some people even use their website to update relatives on their family activities, or new children etc.

Chances are that if you’re interested in something, someone else in the world is also.

Once you have your site up and running you can choose to keep it a private affair or you can broadcast to the whole world by linking to it from forums, bulletin boards, reciprocal linking (putting your link on someone else’s site and then putting there’s on yours), social book marking etc.

Having other people link to your site also increases your chances of being indexed higher in the search engine listings.

If you want your site to be taken seriously then you need to update it on a regular basis. This keeps people interested and in time you may get a loyal fan base. This too helps to stay high in the search engines.

Even if you don’t want to design and maintain your own site, an even easier way for you to get your opinion, or your recipes, or any type of information out is to start a blog, which is short for web log.

There are many free blogging hosts on the Internet for you to use and using them is as simple as typing your letter or information for that day, and clicking on the publish button. Your information is instantly transferred to your blog site for anyone to read. Easy as that!

So, whatever it is you want to do with your website, be sure to go out and do it. it’s a great feeling to know that you have your own little (or big) place on the internet that you family or the whole world can see.

Just think, people may actually be surfing for you in the near future…

This book is unique because it throws away dull templates and presents the information in full color, with the use of helpful info-graphics. The HTML is used to generate the user interface, and the scripting language is used for the program logic. An HTA executes without the constraints of the internet browser security model; in fact, it executes as a fully trusted application. The usual file extension of an HTA is .hta.
