Frame Us Photography

I’m trying to help a friend sell his wildlife and nature photography. Where/how do I start?
He lives about 50 miles north of Detroit. He is going to craft shows and small town festivals but it seems to be the wrong type of exposure. His work is awesome. His photos come from all over the US and Canada. Some have poems or verses from the Bible.
Or you can have just the photograph. They are in frames and priced VERY reasonable. Are there any businesses out there that might sell his work on consignment or something? I’d like to help, but this is out of my league.
Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:
* Photographers Market Guide to Building Your Photography Business: Everything you need to know to run a successful photography business by Vik Orenstein
* Legal Handbook for Photographers: The Rights and Liabilities of Making Images Paperback by Bert P. Krages
* How to Start a Home-Based Photography Business, 4th Paperback by Kenn Oberrecht
* Shooting & Selling Your Photos: The Complete Guide to Making Money With Your Photography by Jim Zuckerman
I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Panoramic Photography $68.51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Panoramic photography is a technique of photography, using specialized equipment or software, that captures images with elongated fields of view. It is sometimes known as wide format photography. The term has also been applied to a photograph that is cropped to a relatively wide aspect ratio. While there is no formal division between wideangle and panoramic photography, wide angle normally refers to a type of lens, but this lens type does not necessarily image a panorama. An image made with an ultra wide angle fisheye lens covering the normal film frame of 1:1.33 is not automatically considered to be a panorama. An image showing a field of view approximating, or greater than, that of the human eye about 160 by 75 may be termed panoramic. This generally means it has an aspect ratio of 2:1 or larger, the image being at least twice as wide as its height. The resulting images take the form of a wide strip. Some panoramic images have aspect ratios of 4:1 and sometimes 10:1, covering fields of view of up to 360 degrees. Both the aspect ratio and coverage of field are important factors in defining a true panoramic image. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Tales Of The Unexplained: From Behind The Veil (Full Frame) $6.96 Filmed in the United Kingdom and produced by Hal Roach, Jr., each of these twelve chilling episodes re-creates tales of eerie, macabre and unexplainable happenings in normal settings, to otherwise normal people. In classic 1950s British television fashion, reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock, the great Boris Karloff hosts Tales of the Unexplained from cavernous castle room, before an enormous blazing fireplace. he assumes the air of a man curious about strange tales he is about to tell, assuring us that they are all true. Karloff himself appears in several of the episodes, playing the roles of regular people trapped in an unfamiliar world of the supernatural and the paranormal, including a sea captain, a police chief, a doctor and a lawyer. His exceptional acting skills are supported by a fine cast, including appearances by Patrick Macnee, (“The Avengers”), Leo Penn (“Matlock”), Aregentina Brunetti (“It’s A Wonderful Life”), and George Hamilton in a cameo role. In a curious, somewhat appropriate twist, when filming was completed, the Hal Roach Studios ran into financial difficulties, and the series never aired on television. it was kept in a vault for many years, and remarkably, the crisp black and white photography and sound quality survived so that TMG can bring you these twelve “Tales of the Unexplained!” As a special bonus, the unofficial pilot of “The Veil,” entitled “The Vestris” (which aired on Telephone Time) and a previously unavailable episode “Peggy” are included in this unique two disc set. Includes: “The Vestris” – Boris karloff plays a mysterious, ghostly apparition who appears to a woman on a sea crossing. “Girl On The Road” – A motorist gives a lift to a beautiful young girl, who has run out of gas. At the pub in a nearby town, the name Morgan Debs is heard, and the girl flees. Who is this mysterious girl, and who is Morgan Debs? “Food On The Table” – Upon his return from a long sea voyage, a ship’s captain saves his unloved wife’s life, only to discover |
