Digital Photography Projects For Kids
starting a high school darkroom?
My public magnet high school has a number of courses that deal with digital design, but nothing explicitly geared toward photography. I want to start a darkroom. We have empty rooms, and I would maintain and teach after school classes, so finding an instructor, space, and maintenance would not be issues. Money however, will be a problem.
Where can I obtain a grant for a project like this? Would it be futile to contact a huge company like kodak?
Also – which enlarger would be best for kids to learn on? I’d like to purchase four or five for the room.
Trying to find running water and the issue of disposing chemicals may be your biggest problem.
I would recommend the Beseler 23. They are plentiful, cheap and can do both 35mm and 120.
