I have £300 to buy a digital camera, whats best ?

I am after a zoom lense, macro etc. Can anyone give me some advice as to the best buy, also high mega pix ! Thanks for answers.

probably sounds like your looking for a digital SLR rather than a compact camera. for your price range if its not a compact then your going to be looking at 8mp max

as a canon fan i would recommend an eos350d, 8meg pix, if you search on froogle.co.uk you can get one with lens for arround £300 but for macro youll probably pay a little more
