Digital Camera Waterproof Bag
waterproofing a camera?
suppose i took my digital camera or my video camera, and put it in one ziplock baggie. i try to get rid of almost all of the air in the bag, and then super glue it all the way below the bag’s seal and sealing that too. then, i put that in another ziplock baggie and do the same to that. would this be a good way of waterproofing my cameras for a water depth of up to 6 feet?
The pressure is a problem but the biggest problem is that the lens will not be able to get a good clear picture through the bag and you’ll be wasting your time. Look through the bag and you don’t see clearly through them either. That’s just what your camera will see.
Olympus makes several of their small cameras that are water resistant or water proof. However, because of that, they are more expensive. Some manufacturers do make housings that are waterproof for their cameras. Check the manufacturers web site under accessories for that model. And you would have to order from the manufacturer.
