How would one make HDR photos with a Canon AE-1?

I recently obtained a Canon AE-1 camera. I have been interested in HDR imaging, and would like to try it out. I understand that HDR imaging requires editing in a photo editing program (I use GIMP), but I need help taking stock images. All of the tutorials I’ve come across are for digital cameras, so I need help with what settings (shutter speed, aperture, etc.) to use with this camera. Thanks for your help ahead of time.

Only thing you need to get going with HDR is to have photo’s (3-5) which are (one of them) correctly exposed, (2-4 of them) one or two stops under and overexposed and combine them with some program allowing to create HDR images (assuming you scan your prints or have digitized negatives). There is no telling how to expose (Shutter / ap) since that is totally dependent on the scene / light etc. Just overexpose one stop and uderexpose one stop and combine these with one correctly exposed photo.
