Digital Camera Sales 2008
Exchanging a camera to Costco?
I bought a digital camera in Jan 2008 but I noticed at Costco.com that they have a really nice Nikon SLR camera on sale. Will Costco let me exchange my camera for one that is like $300 more?
I think you’re past the exchange period. Here’s a quote from the Costco.com website.
“Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund.”
Exchanges are usually made for defective merchandise, not because of wanting something else. That leaves a vendor like Costco with a 6 month old used camera that can’t be sold and can’t be sent back to the manufacturer.
If you really want to upgrade, consider selling your camera and then buying the dslr of your dreams.
