Do people still use slide photography?

Rooting around my cellar recently, I found several boxes of 40 year old slides, a projector and camera. I was wondering in this day of digital photography how many people still use 35 mm slide photography. I think the grandkids would love to see their pictures blown up on a far wall.

I love shooting slide film. Problem is trying to find places to develop them. Not many places still do E6, and most have even discontinued kodachrome completely. Its a shame. Nothing in digital, not the most expensive digital DSLR from Canon or Nikon or Sony, can match the crisp colors of even the cheapest slide film.
