How is Video capture into PC from a sony handy-cam done?
I have an old sony Hi8 Handy-cam[CCD-TRV218E PAL].It has a 560x digital zoom and a 20x optical zoom.The video is recorded in a cassette.The camera has a S-video output,a A/V output and a RFU DC output.I want to capture the videos recorded in the cassette in a computer.How to connect it to the PC? What PC configuration will be required to capture these videos in the best possible resolution? What are all the accessories[Hardware+Software] that will be needed? What will be the overall cost?
had the same problem but worked my way around it with connecting the camera to a video recorder first and put the recording on tape, from there on a DVD recorder to a disk, after we put the disk in the computer and down loaded it on the computer. It works and saves you a load of money not having to buy special programs.
