Nice Cyber Shot Sony Ericsson C510A Mobile

Sony Ericsson revealed a new upgrade model of the North American version of C510 namely the Sony Ericsson C510a.The phone itself has made its appearance on SE Canada’s official website recently. This GSM/HSDPA phone is very likely to be launched by Rogers, since they’re the only GSM carrier in Canada. Other features of the phone include support for Google Maps, Net Front browser for Internet access, Email capabilities, support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Media player, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity as well as 100MB of internal memory, coupled with a Memory Stick Micro M2 memory card slot that can offer support for up to 8GB of additional storage space. The Sony Ericsson C510a measures 107 x 47 x 12.5 mm and weighs 92 grams.

The Sony Ericsson C510A is a Cyber-shot handset that was up until now only seen in black, whereas the images Daily Mobile have taken is of a silver version of the handset. The Sony Ericsson C510A as w can tell by the images has a Cyber-shot UI 2.0, and we get a glimpse of the 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash and active lens cover. Other specs include the Sony Ericsson C510Aa 2.2 inch QVGA display, illuminated imaging shortcut keys, 2.2 inch QVGA display, and illuminated imaging shortcut keys. More consumers can now enjoy the Sony Ericsson Cyber shot mobile experience, without compromising on quality. The Sony Ericsson C510A mobile continues to push design and innovation, as well as work with the best partners in the industry, to provide existing consumers and consumers in new markets the chance to enjoy the benefits of mobile photography. The accessible Sony-Ericsson C510A Cyber-shot handset is jammed packed with the highest quality imaging technology and encased in a stylish handset design expected from Sony Ericsson. The only few negatives I could think of is that the camera is only 3.2 megapixel, there’s no zoom on the camera unless you’re in VGA mode, there’s only an LED flash (no Xenon), and my IM (instant messaging) program was missing (I downloaded a new one).

Physically the Sony Ericsson C510A phone is built quite well. There is a slider which protects the camera lens and allows you to take photos when open. The phone has good reception (especially compared to my Samsung SGH-D900), the voices come through clear during phone calls, and the built in speaker has great sound (especially with MP3’s and other music. Also the Sony Ericsson C510A built in web-browser does a great job but I really must recommend that you download Opera Mini. Pages load in around 2 seconds in 3G or HSDPA (in Denver) it seems as opposed to the Sony Ericsson C510A Browser which takes around 5 seconds +. What I also like is that the text messages can be displayed in a conversational text which looks like instant messaging. Those familiar with the iPhone texting will be right at home with this. The Cultural Work of Photography in Canada (Hardcover)

The Cultural Work of Photography in Canada (Hardcover)

$98.85

The Cultural Work of Photography in Canada is an in-depth study on the use of photographic imagery in Canada from the late nineteenth century to the present. This volume of fourteen essays provides a thought-provoking discussion of the role photography has played in representing Canadian identities. In essays that draw on a diversity of photographic forms, from the snapshot and advertising image to works of photographic art, contributors present a variety of critical approaches to photography studies, examining themes ranging from photography`s part in the formation of the geographic imaginary to Aboriginal self-identity and notions of citizenship. The volume explores the work of photographs as tools of self and collective expression while rejecting any claim to a definitive, singular telling of photography`s history. Reflecting the rich interdisciplinarity of contemporary photography studies, The Cultural Work of Photography in Canada is essential reading for anyone interested in Canadian visual culture. Contributors include Sarah Bassnett (University of Western Ontario), Lynne Bell (University of Saskatchewan), Jill Delaney (Library and Archives Canada), Robert Evans (Carleton University), Sherry Farrell Racette (University of Manitoba), Blake Fitzpatrick (Ryerson University), Vincent Lavoie (Université du Québec à Montréal), John O’Brian (University of British Columbia), James Opp (Carleton University), Joan M. Schwartz (Queen’s University), Sarah Stacy (Library and Archives Canada), Jeffrey Thomas (Ottawa), and Carol Williams (Trent University/University of Lethbridge).
